Fireworks after the Ceremony!
My niece Alexis
~~~
My niece, Alexis, graduated with honors last night from Highland High School in Gilbert. She's headed to BYU in 2 weeks to start the summer semester. She will have enough AP credits to start as a Junior. (I can't even imagine) She chose BYU over MIT in MA. The Physics dept. there was calling her to apply. She is one smart cookie and we will miss her so much. We got her an Ipod touch to take with her. (I don't even have one!) I can't wait to take the boys and visit her soon!
Gila Valley Temple
I attended the dedication of the Gila Valley Temple in Safford, Az, today. I had never been to a temple dedication before so it was kind of nice, especially since both of my grandparents were from the Gila Valley. I've grown up hearing stories about how my grandfather grew up on President Kimball's street in Thatcher. He was much older than my grandfather, but my grandpa used to work for his father at times...
Celtic Woman
I saw Celtic Woman in concert at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix a few years ago. It was probably the best I've ever been to. I loved it and would love to go again someday. Their music will always hold a special place in my heart because my dad loved them, too. (I thought it was funny that an old man who said he had a thing for "Redheads" complimented my hair in the elevator and said he loved being at an "Irish" concert with so many there... that made me laugh )
McDonald's
~~~
So I took Cooper to McDonald's for his 'usual' Oreo McFlurry after school today and look who was there! His hair was extremely red and the make up was kind of frightening but once I got over that, it was kind of cool....

Priceless
I did a forward somersault flip on the kids' swingset last night while we were playing in the backyard and the look on the boys' faces was priceless... I guess they didn't realize Mommy was once a little girl :)
