Yea!! I found out yesterday that I've been hired as a substitute teacher for this upcoming year. I'll be able to do it Fridays and maybe some Thursdays. They still have my records from teaching, so I didn't have to interview. (thank goodness) I'm just waiting for my substitute certificate in the mail since my teaching certificate expired in 2008. Maybe this will help me get the going back to school thing out of my system for now... :) So happy!

Wii
So...Cooper still wears his Indiana Jones hat wherever we go... It's the last thing he takes off at night and the first thing he puts on in the morning... He plays the Lego Indiana Jones game on the Wii and that's all he talks about. Caden discovered a few days ago that he can actually bowl now on the Wii bowling game. It's his new obsession. Thank goodness he can do it on his own now and I don't have to stand there anymore. He's learned to play it with Cooper and take turns. Hopefully he will stop arguing wth me soon about whether he will eat breakfast first or bowl first every morning... haha.

Back to School?
I find myself wanting to go back to school so much lately. I want to get a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education so I can teach preschool or kindergarten when I start teaching again. Caden has a couple more years at home before he starts school, so I will need to wait a little while longer. I'm really curious about what will be more cost effective and time efficient - getting another degree or a Master's degree. I've heard so many different things. I wish my dad was here so I could ask his opinion... He would certainly know. I sure hope the economy is better when I'm ready to start working again. I can't believe teachers are getting laid off!

New Car
We decided to trade the Durango in for a Grand Caravan. It's pretty family friendly. Never thought I would own a minivan, but it is really nice to drive and a lot easier with the kids. It came with all kinds of cool gadgets inside, so it's been fun playing with those. Who knew a car could come with a dash-mounted DVD player and a touch-screen audio system that you can download CD's into? Now maybe I can relax a little more with the boys unable to bang into with their door every car we park next to. I always used to just pray that no one was inside the cars next to us in a parking lot... haha

Mexico
Relaxing...
My Rocky Point pedicure
I love the tide pools
So does Caden...
Our work of art
the boys on an inflatable lobster
~~~
We spent a few days down in Mexico again the first week of June this year. The boys couldn't get enough of the beach and the ocean and I loved the shrimp... It will probably be our only vacation this summer due to swim lessons starting this week and karate and Cooper's other summer classes. Oh well, it was a fun way to kick off the start of summer!
